Idaho residents with a substance abuse problem that requires treatment have nearly 100 outpatient treatment options available to them, which comprises over 90% of the programs available in the state. For individuals who need outpatient detox services, there are 6 facilities to accommodate this as well as 2 programs providing opiate maintenance services. An opiate maintenance outpatient program is for the administration of prescription opiates such as methadone or buprenorphine to help clients with cravings and to stop opiate withdrawal. Because of the fact that opiate maintenance clients are typically on these prescription opiates daily for the rest of their lives, anyone who wants to be truly drug dependent should seek much more comprehensive treatment to address the true causes of the problem in a facility which provides therapy and treatment to accomplish this.

If someone for some reason can't commit to an inpatient program but needs a higher level of support and care, an intensive outpatient program or perhaps a day treatment facility in Idaho would be the most ideal option.
